Buy the Majorelle Shirt and Dress sewing pattern from Itch to Stitch. This feminine and versatile shirt or dress effortlessly transitions from casual to elegant. Choose a lightweight cotton broadcloth for chic daytime wear, or opt for luxurious silk for evening glamour. Majorelle features a delicate gathered neckline with an optional ruffled collar, a centre front snap or button closure, and long raglan sleeves with an elastic sleeve hem for added comfort. The pattern also includes both regular bust and full bust options for the perfect fit.

Suggested fabrics: Use lightweight woven fabrics without stretch, such as viscose/rayon challis, voile, batiste, broadcloth and chambray. The gathers and ruffles will be more pronounced with crisp fabrics, while they will be less prominent with fabrics that have more drape.

Fabric requirements: 54″ (135 cm) wide fabric: Shirt, 1 7/8 - 2 7/8 yd (170 - 260 cm) // Dress, 2 1/4 - 3 3/4 yd (220 - 340 cm).

Sizing: US 00 – 40 with regular and full bust options (approx. UK 6/8 – 34/36, based on our ). Please also check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements.

A note from the designer about bust options: To determine if you should use the regular bust front pieces or the full bust front pieces, subtract the circumference of your over bust from the circumference of the fullest part of your bust. If the rounded difference is 3″ (7.5 cm) or less, use the regular bust. If the rounded difference is more than 3″ (7.5 cm), use the full bust.

Notions: Lightweight fusible woven or weft insertion interfacing; 3/8"" (1 cm) no-sew snaps (or buttons), 6 for shirt or 9 for dress; 1/2 yd (0.5 m) of 3/8"" (1 cm) wide elastic; a small safety pin.
